It’s time to root out corruption and build public trust

Members of Congress are currently allowed to buy and sell stocks while they’re making rules regulating those same companies and markets. That creates an obvious conflict of interest and erodes trust in our government.

Our current restrictions are far too weak. Banning congressional stock trading would help restore trust that our elected representatives and senators are responsive to voters — not their personal financial interests.

Leaders of both parties are already proposing reforms to ban or seriously limit stock trading abilities for members of Congress. Please support them.
